((ooc: Sorry it's lame and short. My muse is on winter break. D: ))
Oh boy, what a trip this has been, thought Mickey sarcastically. It had taken far too much time to find a region nearby that was relatively new. He needed some way to earn a steady enough income, and Hoenn was full enough with people looking for work. He strode down the street, yawning tiredly. It had been a long couple of weeks for the young man. It had taken far too much time to pack his things, move out, and make his way to Kerin. It was hard enough by himself, much less with a lazy blob of a Slakoth hanging about him. The little bugger had been given to him a bit before he left, his colleagues saying something about needing more social interaction.
It was well worth the trouble however. The newly discovered region wasn’t overcrowded with trainers yet, leaving plenty of opportunity to explore that particular field. In fact, there was plenty opportunity for every field! He was excited to find out which suited him best, though he planned on training for the meanwhile. Income would be fairly steady, so long as he had a strategy. He’d also get some interesting Pokemon, which was a nice bonus.
Let’s face it; no one is interested in a better PC. They’re all content with what they have now. I could change all that, but no! As soon as I try to put my research out of the paper and into life, I’m a loony! Bah.
Mickey furrowed his brows, grinning with determination. Here in Kerin, he’d prove them wrong. He’d finish his design and install one in every town, people flocking to try them. Then he’d get the recognition he deserved! Everyone would finally see him for the genius he really was! Even his little brother would finally stop calling him an idiot!
Bonk.
The young man doubled over in pain, hands cradling his most likely bruised nose. Whilst engrossed by his thoughts of grandeur, the poor guy had walked face first into the door of the Lab. Oops.
He whimpered helplessly, one hand reaching up to rap lightly at the cause of his pain. Man, that hurt! Doors were stupid! Mickey glared at the simple entrance, daring it to try that again. “You do and I’ll knock you into next week!” Note to self: invent something to replace doors.
